Using a Palm-Powered Smartphone

I think this works on most Palm Operating Systems (OS) with at least Palm OS 3.5 or higher?! While in the MemoPad, holding the "Memo" button for a few seconds, kicks in the voice recorder automatically. You do have to be in the MemoPad when doing this.
If you are in any other application, just hit the Memo button once to get into the MemoPad. Then simply hold the Memo button on the Palm for a few seconds, and the voice recorder, (if you have this option/version of Palm), will kick in with the audio message: "Please record at the tone". And you then hear a tone and you are now recording. The only issue at this time is this; You only have about 2 to 2 an a half minutes of record time total. You might have 10 voice memo files with recordings in each, but you can only get about 2 to 2.5 minutes of total recording time. Soon there will be someone that writes a program that will defeat this issue. And remember, if you are using the Kyocera 7135 or most other Smartphones, you must have the cell phone part of the device "on".
This is a nice feature that isn't in any of the manuals that I looked through. It allows for one handed operation of the voice recording system. So if you are driving or in the middle of something else, you can record your notes for later retrieval.
I've used this feature a lot!!! I've almost smacked into the car in front of me trying to get a great idea I just came up with in my notes before I forgot what I was thinking about. And when you see another bumper coming up on you at 30 to 40 miles an hour, it has a way of making you forget that "great" idea you once had! Not to mention what it can do to the linens you might be wearing!
