Parking in the Park

A Walk in the Park - The Quiet Afternoon Off with the little ones or just to get away:
I have about 12 ambiance MP3's in my phone to listen to. I can be sitting in a park, listening to the waterfalls, the ocean, or the sound of the woods with the sound of a campfire. And just go from there. You would not believe the tranquility you can obtain by being in 1. A different place, and the main thing 2. A different environment all together. IE. In the past I thought a Laptop meant freedom, and it does to an extent. (But how much weight or excess baggage are you willing to carry to call it freedom? This is what you have to ask yourself).

In consideration that I've had a laptop since 1982, and utilized the mobility factor; I'll give you an example; Before, I would work as long as I could at my desk, then move the to my easy-chair, hit the patio, then to the coach, and finally end up at the kitchen table. In the 1980's, I really thought this was cool. Because, my office was mobile, at least it was for the times. Later the computers got smaller and the RAM could hold more. And from there it all got better! All the oldies can say this; my first computer barely had a fraction of what a handheld has today. (Dating myself again). But I do remember carrying 22 pounds of laptop to the park. And back when they weighed that much, they were doing good if they had 8K! And now, 1gig minimum hanging on my belt, hmmm. Man, Im getting old!

Back to the ambiance audio MP3s. I don't want to sound crazy, but these audios can really make you think you are where ever you want to be. I've sat in the park and made it seem that I was somewhere in the beep woods. It's amazing how productive you can be while sitting in the shade in a quiet park a block from the office. It sure beats the office youre stuck in now!
